Royal Akarana Yacht Club Opening Day 2026/27

Join us on the lawn at the Royal Akarana Yacht Club for our 2026/27 Season Opening Day – a fun-filled day celebrating sailing, community and the start of a new season on the water!

Everyone is welcome, and it’s completely free to attend. Whether you’re a club member, a keen sailor or simply looking for a great family day out by the water, there’s something for everyone.

Have a Go Sailing with RAYC & Paddling with Fergs Kayaks| 9am–12pm

Get out on the water and give sailing or paddling a go! It’s a fantastic opportunity to try something new and discover the fun of water sports.

From 12.30pm – Let the Celebrations Begin!

Enjoy the excitement of the traditional cannon firing at 12.30pm, followed by an afternoon of family-friendly fun, including:

• Bouncy castle and face painting
• DJ and entertainment
• Food and beverage specials throughout the day
• Giveaways and prizes
• Sailing and racing action on the water

Bring your family and friends, relax on the lawn, soak up the waterfront atmosphere and help us kick off the 2026/27 sailing season in style.
