Get ready to make a splash! Join us at Splash Landing, a weekend-long celebration of water activities. Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or just looking for some fun on the water, there’s something for everyone.

Highlight Event: Fergs Kayaks Cardboard Craft Challenge
Sunday, February 16th

Put your creativity and teamwork to the test! Teams will design and build water-ready vessels using nothing but cardboard and tape, then race them through a simple course. Will your craft float or fold? There’s only one way to find out!

Team Details:

  • Team Size: 2-6 participants
  • Pilots: 2 team members will paddle the craft
  • Ages: 11 (Year 7) to 15 (Year 11)

Materials Allowed:

  • Cardboard
  • Sticky Tape

We provide:

  • Buoyancy Aids
  • Helmets
  • Paddles (or bring your own handmade version!)

Award Categories:

  • Survivability: Can your craft complete the 15m course and return intact?
  • Innovation: Even if it sinks, was it a brilliant idea?
  • Best-Looking Craft: Eye-catching designs get their moment of glory.

Event Schedule:

  • 11:00 – 11:30: Registration & Craft Check (“Warrant of Fitness”) at Fergs Kayaks
  • 11:30: Safety Briefing
  • 12:00 – 15:00: Cardboard Craft Challenge
  • 15:00 – 15:30: Awards Ceremony
