Pink Ribbon Breakfast 2026

Pink Ribbon Breakfast 2026

Last month, Akarana Event Centre had the privilege of hosting one of the most heartfelt mornings we’ve been part of — a Pink Ribbon Breakfast honouring our dear friend Sharon Hawke, surrounded by her friends and whānau.

The morning was filled with stories, laughter, and moments of real connection – a beautiful reminder of what community looks like when it shows up for one of its own. Guests came together in support of breast cancer awareness and research, and the room held an energy that was both celebratory and deeply moving.

We’re thrilled to share that the event raised more than $13,000 for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ — an incredible result that speaks volumes about the generosity of everyone who attended and contributed.

An event like this doesn’t come together without the right people behind it, and we’re so grateful to our wonderful suppliers who gave their time and talent to make the morning as special as it was: Anna from Pinnacle Bridal, Mike from Michael Tuck Photography, and Lauren from Produce Company. Your support made all the difference.

To Sharon, her whānau, and every guest who joined us — thank you for letting us be part of your story. It was a privilege from start to finish.
