Hosted by the Akarana Marine Sports Charitable Trust and the Ōrākei Local Board, Splash Landing was a weekend of family fun!
In March, a vibrant new addition to the summer calendar unfolded at Okahu Bay’s waterfront, capitalizing on the expansive waterfront space to offer a safe and enjoyable experience for people of all ages, granting them access to our beautiful ocean.
Both on and off the water, excitement filled the air. Waterworld Waterparks brought aquatic joy with their inflatable water park, while RAYC and Waka Ama New Zealand provided opportunities for sailing and rowing enthusiasts to take to the water. The Auckland Uni Sailing Race also captivated spectators with its thrilling action.
The Tamariki Zone was a crowd-pleaser, featuring bouncy castles, Splash Em!, a sandpit, coloring activities, and more.
The event boasted an impressive lineup of live music, with Curbside Crawl belting out beloved classics, indie rock band BEACHWARE setting the stage on fire, and DJ JC adding to the ambiance. Mouthwatering delights from numerous food trucks and the Akarana Garden Bar ensured no one went hungry.
Stay tuned to our social media channels for updates on our 2025 event date—we’re eagerly anticipating another unforgettable experience!
